San Francisco, CA (AHN) – Leaving iPod fans at the edge of their seat for the next year, Apple has revealed that the long-awaited video-centric widescreen versions of its popular iPods will not be available until next year.

The AV iPod, which is to contain a chip for the next generation of iPods, has yet to decided, delaying the debut of one of the most anticipated gadgets since its debut, reports Virgin.net.

According to insiders, an 80GB 5th generation iPod, 8GB capacity nanos, or even the addition of a new feature like Bluetooth, which would open up the possibility of wireless headphones, are in store for the next lineup of new iPods before the AV will make its way to stores.
