After six months of use, my 60GB Video iPod is dead.

Fortunately I bought Apple’s extended care warranty, so it’s covered for repair and it won’t cost me anything to get fixed.

As cool as the iPod technology is, the need for an extended warranty is an absolute must as users reports all sorts of glitches and problems including the dreaded sad iPod icon error.

I packed up my dead iPod in Apple’s return box. It reminded me of putting the pet hamster in a shoe box and burying it in the backyard, like we did when I was young.

I said a solemn goodbye and dropped it off in the DHL box to be shipped back to its maker.

My replacement/revamped iPod should be here in a week. And I can’t friggin wait.
